If you know me then you know I love a good tool! One that makes my life easier, allows me to run my business more efficiently, is easy to use and offers good value for money.
So you can imagine my excitement when I discovered Pensight. This tool replaces the need to have a website, a LinkTree, use Calendly or Zoom. AND it’s purpose built for coaches who want to monetize their knowledge.
Best of all its COMPLETELY FREE! Pretty sweet huh?
So what is Pensight?
Think of Pensight as a replacement for your LinkTree. What I mean by that is that it allows you to add your important links just like LinkTree and you can place your Pensight profile URL in all your social media bios.
The BIG difference is that Pensight is so much more than just links. This is because Pensight lets you create a digital store with all your products, services and coaching in a matter of minutes, BUT it also handles all the background tasks like scheduling, payments, video conferencing and confirmation emails.
To put it simply, Pensight does the work of several apps and it does it for free!
What can Pensight do?
Pretty much everything you need to run a coaching business.
With Pensight you can:
- Sell 1:1 coaching sessions – with scheduling and built in video conferencing
- Sell Group Coaching – again with scheduling and built in video conferencing
- Sell Coaching Bundles – multiple 1:1 sessions in one order
- Sell digital products – like courses, ebooks and anything else you can think off
- Sell Video Q&A – people can ask a question and you reply to them on video
- Receive donations and gifts – Like buy me a coffee
And of course you can add content blocks, bios, explainer videos and all your social links.
Is it really free?
Actually, yes. Pensight is free to use, but how do they make their money? There has to be a catch, right?
Well, yes, there is… BUT its a pretty small catch.
Pensight handles all payments through Stripe. To get around charging you directly for their service, Pensight bump up Stripe’s fee to 3%, this is a very small price to pay as Stripe’s commission can range from 1.8% to 2.6% depending on where your client is and what type of card they are using.
So, in short, the service is FREE and you pay a small transaction fee per each order.
Not only is this based on results so you only pay when you make money but if you consider the cost of the platforms it replaces then the savings become very obvious!
Good bye Calendly, Linktree, Website, Zoom
So what sort of savings are we talking about here. Well let’s see:
Your website, putting aside paying to have ti designed and developed can range anywhere from $10/month (just for hosting a WordPress site). If you are using Sqauarespace, Wixx etc this is more like $25+/month. If you are on WordPress then you may also be paying for additional things like premium plugins etc.
Calendly, while free, only offers one meeting. If you want more, or want to integrate payments, than that’s another $15/month.
Zoom, again there’s a free option, but unless you want your coaching call to end at the 40min time limit then that’s another $20/month.
So costs can and DO add up quickly. Pensight on the other hand costs 3% per sale – this combined with the fact you can be up and running in a matter of minutes makes it a no brainer for any coach who want’s to spend less time on fiddling about with tech and more time on making sales.
It just doesn’t get more bootstrappy then this, believe me!
